Kings Trade Ryan Munce To Tampa Bay

Reading, PA - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League and the Reading Royals of the ECHL, have traded goaltender Ryan Munce to the Tampa Bay Lightning for a fourth-round draft choice in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today. Munce, 21, played in 17 games this season with the Royals, compiling a 5-6-4 record, a 3.30 goals-against-average and a .884 save percentage. He was most recently with Manchester but had not appeared in a game with the Monarchs this season. Munce was originally selected by the Kings in the third-round (82nd overall) of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.

The Royals are back in action tomorrow afternoon (4:00 pm) against the Trenton Titans at the Sovereign Bank Arena in Trenton, New Jersey. Royals' game night broadcasts can be heard live on ESPN Radio 1240 am (and on the internet through the Royals' website, www.royalshockey.com), beginning thirty minutes before the opening face-off. Streaming video is also available for $6.00 per game through the B2 Networks, which can be accessed through the Royals' website.
