Grizzlies Collect Another Point In Shootout Loss

Boise, Idaho - The Utah Grizzlies fell 4-3 in a shootout to rival Idaho Wednesday night in Boise. With the shootout loss, the Grizzlies stay at .500 dropping to 14-14-4-3.

Utah built a 3-1 lead into the second intermission with three second period goals. Mike Walsh, Tim Verbeek and Ryan Kinasewich got Utah's markers in the middle frame. All three Utah goals came off of Idaho turnovers and were scored even-strength.

The Steelheads got two third period power-play goals to force overtime as Mark Bomersback notched the game-tying goal with 5:18 left in regulation.

In the shootout, Bryan McGregor and Tyler Shelast scored for Idaho as Tim Verbeek potted Utah's only goal.

Goaltender Mike Mole stopped 41 of 44 shots for the Grizzlies.

The Grizzlies return to action Friday and Saturday in Ontario. Face-off both nights is scheduled for 8:00 p.m.
