
Stockton's Urquhart Named In Glas Co ECHL Player Of The Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Cory
Urquhart of the Stockton Thunder is the In Glas Co ECHL Player of the
Week for the period of Jan. 5-11.
The 24 year old, who is under contract to Springfield of the American
Hockey League, had five goals and six points to help the Thunder post two
road wins at Phoenix.
Urquhart had two goals, including the game winner, and an assist in a 5-4
win at Phoenix on Jan. 6 and three goals in an 8-2 win on Jan. 8.
The Halifax, Nova Scotia native is tied for the team lead with four
power-play goals while his 15 goals and 32 points in 30 games are second
and his 17 assists are third. He has also played in the AHL where he has
two assists in six games for Springfield.
Selected in the second round (40th overall) by the Montreal Canadiens in
the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, Urquhart has played in the ECHL since he was a
rookie in 2004-05 and he has 178 points (93g-85a) and 149 penalty minutes
in 224 regular season games with Cincinnati, Long Beach and Stockton and
four goals and 10 penalty minutes in 13 Kelly Cup Playoff games for Long
Beach.
He has also played in the AHL where he has 29 points (10g-19a) and 28
penalty minutes in 60 regular season games with Hamilton and Springfield
and four points (2g-2a) in 18 playoff games for Hamilton.

organization by In Glas
Co, the exclusive puck supplier of the ECHL. Since beginning its
sponsorship of the award in 2000-01, In Glas Co has donated more than
