TRENTON, N.J., (January 14, 2009) -- A four-point night by Brad Snetsinger and four first period goals gave the Trenton Devils an easy 6-1 victory Wednesday night over the Johnstown Chiefs at Sovereign Bank Arena.

The Devils started the offensive onslaught while shorthanded, as Snetsinger fed Jeff Prough in the left circle, with Prough hammering home the Devils' first goal of the night, 2:36 into the game.

Snetsinger scored the first of his two goals on the power play as he whacked in a Tony Zancanaro rebound from the far post at 9:10.

At 14:36, Snetsinger followed up with his second goal as he fired a wrist shot from the slot that eluded Kris Mayotte, giving the Devils a 3-0 lead.

ECHL All-Star Matt Cohen ended the period on a high note with a goal in his second straight game, scoring from the slot for his career-high sixth goal, which came at the 18:45 mark.

The Devils continued their roll into the second period, as Prough took a feed from Snetsinger and knocked it in for his second of the game just 30 seconds into the stanza.

The Chiefs would score their only goal in the second, which would be matched by a Jeremy Akeson breakaway goal to make it 6-1 in the third period.

In addition to Snetsinger's four points, Prough had three points while Zancanaro had three assists. The Devils outshot the Chiefs, 34-15. Trenton finished the game 3-for-9 on the power play.

The "SAP Line" trio of Snetsinger, Akeson, and Prough combined for five goals in the contest.
