Utah Grizzlies News Release

West Valley City, Utah - The Utah Grizzlies battled from behind twice, including tying the game at two with 4:23 left in regulation, to defeat the Colorado Eagles 3-2 in overtime Sunday afternoon at Maverik Center.

Utah finished the weekend by taking five of six standings points and going 2-0-1-0 against their regional rivals. The Grizzlies are now 4-2-1-1 in their last eight games, collecting ten of 16 standings points in the last 13 days for a .625 winning percentage in that span.

Adam Estoclet scored Utah's game-winning goal on the power-play 3:34 into overtime to cap off his three point night (one goal, two assists) as he went five-hole on Colorado goaltender Kyle Jones 14 seconds into the special teams situation on a setup from Colin Vock (one goal, two assists) and James Martin.

"It's a huge two points right now," said Grizzlies Head Coach Kevin Colley. "We've got to be looking to keep climbing this ladder. Inserting half of a new team this late in the season, we're going to have to do it by committee with a strong group, I was proud of the guys to stuck with it," said Colley on the team effort after adding seven new players to the lineup on three trades in the last two weeks.

After Colorado broke a 1-1 tie 7:54 into the third period, Utah goaltender Adam Morrison made some big saves to keep the contest 2-1 and allow Utah the chance to tie.

Colin Vock kept a puck alive in the circle and cycled to Estoclet who found Jordan Clendenning for his second goal in two nights to tie the game late.

"It was a good play, they've had two highlight reel goals in the last 24 hours and we're going to need big goals from everybody," said Colley.

After trailing 1-0 at the first intermission, Utah tied the game at one 6:20 into the first period as Estoclet played a rebound off of a Jimmy Martin shot in transition and fed Vock for his team-leading 22nd goal of the year.

Boston Bruins prospect and Utah goaltender Adam Morrison stopped 26 of 28 shots in the win for Utah.

Utah now hits the road for four games in five nights starting Wednesday in Bakersfield at 8 p.m.

The Grizzlies return home Wednesday, March 27; Friday, March 29 and Saturday, March 30 to host Colorado. Wednesday is a Wild $2 Wednesday with $2 Hot Dogs, $2 Fries, $2 Soft Drinks and $2 Draft Beers, plus $5 student tickets. Friday and Saturday is Fan Appreciation Weekend, that includes a post-game skate with the team after Saturday's game for the regular season home finale.
