Elmira Jackals News Release

WHEN: 4:05 p.m.
The Jackals are facing the Royals tonight for the 14th of 16 meetings and eighth of eight at First Arena. The Jackals are 6-5-2 against Reading this season which includes a 4-2-1 mark on home ice. The season series between the Jackals and Royals has been a tale of two halves. Over the first eight games the Royals held court and defeated the Jackals six times (Elmira's record 2-4-2). That included four straight wins from November 14 to December 16. Elmira has turned the tables in the second half with a 4-1-0 record against Reading since January 21. Elmira had won four in a row over the Royals until a 4-3 setback at the Sovereign Center on February 16.
While injuries and call ups have forced the Jackals to use multiple different lineups over the last six weeks, two players have remained a constant presence. Rob Bellamy and Jordan Pietrus remain as the only two Jackals to have dressed in each of the team's 62 games. Pietrus needs to play in five more games to surpass his career high of 66 divided last season between Trenton (6) and Elmira (59). Bellamy set his career high at 63 last season with the Jackals.
Mark your calendars! The Jackals are back on First Arena ice on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 to take on the Trenton Titans at 7:05 p.m. Join us for a Willowcreek Wednesday where you could have a chance to win free golf at intermission! Groups of 10 or more are eligible for discounted tickets and preferred seating based on availability. Call 607-734-7825 to book your group outing. Pro-rated season ticket packages are on sale, as well. Season tickets offer the best value for Jackals fans.
