Grizzlies Back Wednesday to Start 5 Home Games in 8 Nights

Tuesday: 1230 KFAN-2, Grizzlies Live From Ruby Tuesday, 7-8 p.m.

Wednesday: 1230 KFAN-2, Las Vegas at Utah; 6:35 p.m. pre-game, 7:05 p.m. face-off Friday: 1230 KFAN-2, Las Vegas at Utah; 6:35 p.m. pre-game, 7:05 p.m. face-off Saturday: 860 AM, Victoria at Utah; 6:35 p.m. pre-game, 7:05 p.m. face-off

The Situation The Grizzlies return home for eight of their next nine games leading the Mountain Division and tied for the conference lead with a 12-7-3-1 record. The home stretch includes five games in eight nights leading up to the Christmas break.

Tiebreaker Game Utah hosts Las Vegas Wednesday and Friday where the two teams each enter the week with 28 points and currently in a three-way tie with Stockton for the top spot in the Western Conference.

3-2 Zone Utah has played three-straight games with their fellow conference leaders that have been decided 3-2 in regulation. Las Vegas beat Utah 3-2 at Maverik Center December 2, while in the last three weekends, Utah has split two 3-2 games in Stockton.

Finally It Evens Out After opening the year with 16 of their first 23 games on the road and traveling all over the western United States, the Grizzlies will host five-straight games at home in which all three opponents will be dealing with hectic travel. After playing in Utah Wednesday and Friday, Las Vegas returns home for Saturday, Sunday affairs with Idaho. Victoria will come to Utah Saturday after Wednesday, Friday games in Boise. And next week, Idaho will come to Utah for Tuesday, Wednesday games directly from Las Vegas after playing them Saturday, Sunday.

Power-Play Rolling Utah has scored their last three goals overall on the power-play and is .4% within Greenville for the league lead with a 22.9-percentage.

Sorteberg Sets Up Two Matt Sorteberg, who returned to the Utah lineup two weeks ago, assisted on both Utah power-plays Saturday for his first two points of the year. Sorteberg missed Utah's first 21 games injured.

Two For Carroll Marcus Carroll recorded his first career multiple-goal game Saturday, scoring both Utah goals. The 21-year-old rookie now has six goals and six assists in 23 games during his first full pro season.

Goals Allowed: X<3 Utah has allowed three goals or less in eight of their last nine games and in regulation in 17 of their 23 total games this year.
