WHEELING, WV ‚¬" The Wheeling Nailers will be auctioning off the "Johnstown Jets" game worn jerseys from this past Saturday's 8-3 win over the Gwinnett Gladiators in Johnstown. The online auction will take place on eBay, and bidding may begin at 5:00 p.m. Monday, December 13.

The Nailers wore the "Jets" jerseys in honor of a hockey history throwback night in Johnstown. The Jets played in the Eastern Hockey League from 1950 to 1977. The Jets helped influence the cult classic movie Slapshot.

The authentic jerseys are game worn, and will be available for online auction for one week. Log on to www.ebay.com and type in the search window "Wheeling Nailers Jets Jersey". The jerseys will make the perfect Christmas gift for the hockey fan in your household. So hurry to place your bid on the special jersey of your favorite Nailers' player. Good Luck!

The next Nailers home game is Sunday December 19, against the Reading Royals. Game time is set for 7:35 p.m. Paddington Bear will be there to entertain the children, and there will be a post game skate with the players. Bring a non-winning West Virginia Lottery ticket and receive $2 off admission. To purchase game tickets, or holiday packs call 304-234-GOAL, or 304-234-4625.
