RED HOT THUNDER VISITS THE COLD Three games in Alaska, playoff rematch await the Thunder, who visit Aces
THUNDER OVERALL RECORD: 12-5-4, 28 points (T-1 Pacific Division, Western Conferernce) LAST WEEK: 1-1-0
THIS WEEK'S OPPONENTS: (all times PT) at Alaska Aces Wednesday, Friday and Saturday (8:15 p.m.) Radio: 1280 KWSX/StocktonThunder.com The Stockton Thunder, entering the week tied for first place in the Pacific Division and Western Conference, visit the Alaska Aces for the first time this season at Sullivan Arena. It is the first time both teams meet since the first round (National Conference Quarterfinal) of last year's Kelly Cup Playoffs, won by the Thunder, 3-1 in a best-of-five series. Both teams split the first two games of the series at an alternative site in Wasilla, Alaska. The Thunder was 5-1-4 in the head-to-head series against the Aces last year and went 3-1-1 at Sullivan Arena. The three games are the last the Thunder will play before the holiday break, who are 6-1-2 on the road this season.
The Thunder and Fat's Grill and Bar have partnered for this season for "Thunder Watch Party" nights (shown through AmericaOne) during all Thunder road games. Fans attending will have an opportunity to win prizes, enjoy drink specials and participate in a festive atmosphere while cheering on the Thunder. It is located at 4555 North Pershing Avenue in Stockton and just minutes away from Stockton Arena. Fat's Grill and Bar is a three-time "Best of San Joaquin" Award winner in The Record and features 15 television monitors and four satellite dishes, an array of acclaimed entrees, pizzas, beverages, appetizers, specialties and more.

WEEK IN REVIEW STK 3 ¬" UTA 2 (12/11/10): Goaltender Garrett Zemlak earned his first win in four starts with 27 saves, boosting the Thunder to a 3-2 victory over the Utah Grizzlies before 8,330 fans at Stockton Arena on Saturday night. The Thunder, who moved to a first place tie in the Western Conference with Utah and Las Vegas, improved to 6-4-2 at home and won in their final home game before the Dec. 25 holiday break. They scored the first three goals of the game with help from Marcus Watson, Bretton Cameron and Fraser Clair, who had the game-winner in the second period.
BAK 5 ¬" STK 3 (12/10/10): Kyle Calder scored two goals, added an assist and his Bakersfield Condors never trailed, sending the Thunder to a 5-3 loss before a crowd of 4,377 at Rabobank Arena on Friday night. Calder was aided by two goals from Joel Broda to send the Thunder to its first loss on the road in regulation in ECHL. Chris Lawrence totaled three points (1g-2a) and was also aided on the Thunder end for scoring from Marcus Watson (first pro goal) and Garet Hunt.
