Peterborough Petes News Release

(Peterborough, ON) - The Petes led on the shot clock and in the face off circle but it didn't translate to the scoreboard as they fell 2-1 to the Soo Greyhounds in front of a sold out Faith Night crowd on Thursday at the PMC.

After going doing down 2-0 in the first period, Nick Robertson (35) got the Petes on the board mid-way through the second period. His tally extended his goal streak to nine games.

Akil Thomas assisted on the play, lengthening his assist streak to nine games. Declan Chisholm also assisted.

Final shots were 38-26 in favour of the Petes. Peterborough went 1/5 on the power play and 6/7 on the penalty kill.

Over 1,000 people stayed after the game to take in a post-game discussion led by Peterborough native and former NHLer Mike Fisher on faith, family, and hockey.

The Petes continue the weekend with a home-and-home with the Oshawa Generals that begins on Friday, January 31 at 7:35 at the Tribute Communities Centre and wraps up at the PMC on Saturday, February 1 at 7:05pm with the 11th annual Pink in the Rink game.

Tickets for all regular season home games are available through the PMC Grant Thornton Box Office in person and over the phone at (705) 743-3561 Monday to Friday from 9:30am to 5:00pm, and 24 hours a day online.
