Winnipeg Goldeyes News Release

WINNIPEG - Winnipeg Goldeyes manager Rick Forney announced today the signing of rookie right-handed pitcher Denver Wynn.

Wynn, 25, made three appearances out of the bullpen for the London Rippers of the Frontier League this season for his only professional experience. In two and two-thirds innings of work, the product of Kamloops, British Columbia had a 6.75 ERA and two strikeouts.

Wynn was selected by the Minnesota Twins in the 46th round of the 2005 MLB amateur draft out of Valleyview Secondary School, but he elected to attend Thompson Rivers University.

He is expected to join the Goldeyes on Tuesday when the team returns to Shaw Park for a seven-game homestand to finish the regular season.

The Goldeyes now have 21 players on their roster, including 11 pitchers and 10 position players.

Great seats for the game are available by clicking on Ticketmaster.ca, calling 1-855-GOLDEYE or visiting any Ticketmaster location, including the one at Shaw Park.
