
Goldeyes Place Williams on Waivers

WINNIPEG - Winnipeg Goldeyes manager Rick Forney announced today that left-handed pitcher Mike Williams has been placed on irrevocable waivers for the purpose of granting him his release.
Williams, 25, was 2-3 with a 7.62 ERA in 14 games with the Goldeyes this season, including five starts.
Winnipeg now has 20 players on its roster, including 10 pitchers and 10 position players.
The North Division-leading Goldeyes finish a three-game series against the Wichita Wingnuts this afternoon at Shaw Park. Game time is 1:30 p.m.
