San Antonio Rampage News Release

SAN ANTONIO (March 26, 2009) - San Antonio Rampage General Manager Brad Treliving announced today that goaltender Joel Gistedt has been re-assigned to the Rampage from the Arizona Sundogs of the Central Hockey League.

Gistedt, a native of Uddevalla, Sweden, appeared in one game with the Rampage on November 8, 2008 against Quad City replacing Josh Tordjman in the third period and stopping seven of nine shots on goal.

Gistedt, in his first professional season in North America, posted an 10-15-1 record with a 4.15 goals against average (GAA) and a .873 save percentage (SV%) in 29 games with Arizona this season. After collecting just four wins in his first 15 starts, the 20-year-old netminder went on to post a 6-4-1 record in his final 11 appearances.

Gistedt, 21, was the Phoenix Coyotes' fourth choice, second round pick (36th overall) in the 2007 National Hockey League Entry Draft.
