Giroux returns to Wolf Pack

Hartford, March 31, 2006: Hartford Wolf Pack general manager/head coach Jim Schoenfeld announced today that the New York Rangers have returned forward Alexandre Giroux to the Wolf Pack.

Giroux, 24, made his NHL debut on Saturday, March 25th, as the Rangers took on Tampa Bay. Giroux has skated in 64 games with the Wolf Pack this season, registering 34 goals and 25 assists, along with 73 penalty minutes and a plus-12 rating. The 6-3, 191-pounder currently leads the Wolf Pack in goals (34) and ranks third in scoring on the team with 59 points. His 34 goals, which is a career-high, is also ninth in the AHL.

The Wolf Pack return to action tonight, traveling to Springfield to take on the Falcons (7:35 PM faceoff). The Pack return to Hartford for a rematch with Springfield on Saturday (7:00 PM) and face the Norfolk Admirals on Sunday (4:00 PM).
