
Garnett Reassigned to Gladiators

The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that goaltender Michael Garnett has been reassigned to the Gladiators from the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League.
Garnett returns to the Gladiators where he posted his 3rd and 4th shutouts of the season and was named the Itech ECHL Saver of the Week for March 22nd through 28th after being reassigned to Gwinnett on March 26th.
Recalled to the Wolves for the second time this season on April 1st and making 37 saves in a 4-2 win over San Antonio on Sunday, the Saskatoon native as appeared in 13 games with the Wolves and has posted a 2.63 goals against average and a 7-3-2 record in Chicago this season.
Garnett recorded his first two professional shutouts with the Gladiators, a 2-0 blanking of Greensboro on December 11th and then a 4-0 shutout of Augusta on December 13th before being recalled to Chicago on January 15th. Garnett also represented the Gladiators in the 2004 Par-A-Dice ECHL All-Star game where he posted 24 saves, the most by any netminder in the contest.
In other transactions, goaltender Jeff Dotson was not placed on the Gladiators playoff roster while netminder Trevor Prior has been placed on injured reserve.
Garnett should be available for Game #1 of the Gladiators Central Division Semi-Final against Mississippi at 8:05 p.m. on Wednesday at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum.
