ECHL Records
- The Gulls set an ECHL record for most wins by an expansion team. The previous record was 46 wins, set by the 1991-92 Toledo Storm
- The Gulls are only the second ECHL expansion team to win the Brabham Cup. The 1991-92 Toledo Storm were the only other expansion team to win the Brabham Cup.
- San Diego's 108 points tied the Florida Everblades for the second-highest point total in ECHL history. The all-time record for points is 116, set by the Louisiana IceGators in 2001-02.
- San Diego's .750 winning percentage ties the now-defunct Richmond Renegades for the fifth-best winning percentage in ECHL history.
- San Diego's 30 home wins tied the ECHL record. The Louisiana IceGators also had 30 home wins in 2001-02.
- San Diego's 49 overall wins ranks sixth all-time in ECHL history.
- San Diego's 13 regulation losses tied the now-defunct Knoxville Cherokees for the third-fewest regulation losses in a season.
- San Diego's eight road losses tied the Florida Everblades and Pee Dee Pride for the third-fewest road losses in a season.
- San Diego's 177 goals allowed ties them with the Peoria Rivermen for fifth lowest in ECHL history.
- San Diego's 2.46 goals-against average ties them with the Peoria Rivermen for fifth lowest in ECHL history.
- San Diego's 14-game home winning streak tied several teams for fourth most in ECHL history.
- Trevor Koenig's 37 wins are third all-time in ECHL history. Two goaltenders share the record with 38 wins.
Gulls Franchise Records
- 108 points is a new franchise record. The previous records was 107 points, set in 1997-98.
- 10 overtime/shootout losses is a new franchise record. The previous record was eight, set in 1999-00.
- 177 goals allowed is a new franchise record. The previous record is 182, set in 2002-03.
- 30 home wins is a new franchise record. The previous record was 29, set in 1995-96 and 1996-97.
- Mark Pederson's nine-game goal-scoring streak is a new franchise record. Mark Woolf had the previous record with an eight-game goal-scoring streak in 2001-02.
- Pederson's eight-game winning goals is second all-time in franchise history. Martin St. Amour set the record with nine game-winning goals in 1995-96.
- Sylvain Deschatelets' 23-game point streak is second all-time in franchise history. Kyle Reeves set the record with a 26-game point streak in 1997-98.
- Koenig's 2.17 goals-against average is a new franchise record. He held the previous record with a 2.19 GAA in 2000-01.
- Koenig's .920 save percentage is a new franchise record. He held the previous record with a .919 save percentage in 2000-01.
- Koenig is second all-time with 136 wins. Sergei Naumov still holds the record with 188 wins.
- Koenig is the all-time leader with 17 shutouts.
- Koenig is the all-time leader with a .917 save percentage
