LAST WEEK: The Pride went 2-1-0 in the final week of the regular season, picking up home wins over Gwinnett and Greensboro, and falling in the regular-season finale at Gwinnett. Pee Dee finishes the 2003-2004 season with a record of 30-33-9 for 69 points, and ends the season in seventh place of the Southern Division.
Thursday, April 1 v. Gwinnett PRIDE 5 Gladiators 4 (OT)
The teams traded goals through the first two periods, as the game was tied at 2 after one, and at 4 through two. Kyle Kidney scored a pair of goals for the Pride, while Jeff Szwez and Shaun Sutter added scores of their own. After a scoreless third period, the game went to overtime. With just 1:02 remaining in the extra session, Scott Balan batted home a rebound to give the Pride the win.
Friday, April 2 v. Greensboro PRIDE 5 Generals 1
The Pride ended their home season with a bang, dominating the Generals from start to finish in a 5-1 triumph. Greensboro struck first, getting a power-play goal from Geno Parrish 12:44 into the game. It was all Pee Dee after that, however, as Shaun Sutter started the scoring with 1:46 remaining in the first period. The Pride added a pair of goals in the second, and two more in the third to set the final. Jeff Szwez netted his first professional hat trick, and also added an assist, while Kyle Kidney tallied three assists. Matt Underhill stopped 42 of 43 shots between the pipes for his 10th win of the season.
Saturday, April 3 @ Gwinnett Gladiators 4 PRIDE 1
The Pride's 2003-2004 season ended in a 4-1 loss at the Arena at Gwinnett Center. Jeff Szwez scored the lone goal for the Pride late in the first period. This was the only meeting in the six-game season series with Gwinnett that was not decided by one goal.
PRIDE NOTES
- The Pride finished the season with three 20-goal scorers: Wes Goldie (36), Jeff Szwez (23) and Kyle Kidney (20).
- With his 36 goals this season, Wes Goldie moved into fourth on the Pride's all-time goals list with 114. He trails third-place Peter Geronazzo by three goals, and is 40 goals behind Allan Sirois for the all-time team record.
- Kyle Kidney was the only Pride player to appear in all 72 games this season.
- The Pride ended the season with a seven-game home unbeaten streak (6-0-1), outscoring the opposition 34-17 over that span.

SEASON-TICKET RENEWALS
The Pride are now accepting season-ticket renewals for the 2004-2005 season. Season-ticket holders can return their completed applications to the Pride office from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, or mail the applications to the Pride office at 3300 West Radio Drive; Florence, SC 29501. As an added bonus, all fans who renew their tickets by the end of the day today, will receive a free Pee Dee Pride t-shirt (one per account).
