Estero, FL - The Florida Everblades return to the friendly environs of Germain Arena Friday as they open a two-game series with the Western Conference's Colorado Eagles at 7:30pm.
Friday and Saturday's games will be the only meetings of the season between the Blades and Eagles. Last season, Florida went 1-1-1 in a three-game series at the Budweiser Events Center in Denver.
Florida rolls into the weekend after a week full of turnover, with Mike Little (Norfolk), Kristers Gudlevskis (Syracuse) and A.J. Jenks (Charlotte) all called up to the AHL. In their stead, the Blades have signed Will MacDonald, Tony DeHart and Joe Caveney. MacDonald and Caveney both spent training camp in October with the Blades.
Colorado enters Friday's game less than two weeks removed from taking control of first place in the Midwest Division, posting a 6-2-2-0 record in their last six games. Eagles goalie Marc Cheverie (10-0-3-0) has not lost in regulation all season; his 10 wins rank third in the ECHL.
Friday's interconference tilt will be broadcast live online at FloridaEverblades.com and on the Everblades' app for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, with a video webcast available through America ONE, the official broadband and mobile broadcaster of the ECHL, at www.americaonesports.com. Pregame coverage will get under way at 6:45pm.
