ECHL Announces Fines, Suspensions

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Friday announced the following fines and suspensions.

Colorado's Beatty fined, suspended

Colorado's Jason Beatty has been suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #199, Colorado at Orlando, on Dec. 4.

Beatty was assessed a minor penalty for an illegal check to the head under Rule #48.2 at 9:06 of the second period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Beatty will miss Colorado's games at Florida tonight (Dec. 6) and tomorrow (Dec. 7).

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Idaho's Robinson fined, suspended

Idaho's Brett Robinson has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #200, Stockton at Idaho, on Dec. 4.

Robinson was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for elbowing under Rule #45.5 at 12:25 of the first period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Robinson will miss Idaho's game against Stockton tonight (Dec. 6).

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
