Tonight's Matchup: The San Francisco Bulls (6-12-1-1) begin a two-game series with the Ontario Reign (14-2-1-3), tonight, at Citizens Business Bank Arena. This is the third of 10 meetings between these clubs this season. Ontario leads the season series with a 2-0-0-0 record.

Last weekend, the Bulls split a weekend set with the Utah Grizzlies. They won Friday's contest, 2-1. Tyler Gron and Collin Bowman had the tallies for San Francisco. J.P. Anderson registered 31 saves in his first professional victory. On Saturday, the Grizzlies prevented a sweep, winning 5-2. San Francisco got on the board first, but three straight goals by Utah was enough to win it. Kyle Bodie and Brett Findlay scored. Bowman, Jordan Morrison, Gron, and Dean Ouellet had helpers.

Gron, Findlay, and Morrison have all been great for the Bulls as of late. They each have four-game point streaks while with the Bulls, combining for 16 (6g, 10a) over that span. Gron has a five-game point streak, extending back to his last game with Idaho. He now leads the team in goals (7). With six assists in his last 10 games alone, Findlay is tied for the team lead with seven.

On Thursday, forward Dale Mitchell was activated from the injured reserve. Before going down with the injury he had gotten off to a hot start. In nine games he produced three goals and three assists. He is expected to be in the lineup tonight.

Two more player moves took place this morning. The Bulls added 23-year old Russian Magomed Gimbatov. The young forward has played his entire career in Russia, including 47 games in the country's top league, the KHL, where he totaled six points (2 goals, 4 assists). He's also played in over 250 games in the second and third levels in Russia. In 2010, Gimbatov played in six games for Russia at the World Junior Championships. In another move, Rob Linsmayer was sent to the Idaho Steelheads in exchange for future considerations.

The Reign currently own the ECHL's best record, and have only lost twice in regulation. Forward Matt White has been playing well, registering 11 points (3g, 8a) in the past 10 games. He is tied for third in scoring amongst rookies. In some good news for San Francisco, Ontario will be without forward Dan DaSilva, who was loaned to the Worcester Sharks of the AHL. He had been leading the ECHL in points prior to his call-up. However, since their last meeting, Ontario signed longtime Reign forward Kyle Kraemer and one-time ECHL MVP Chad Costello.

San Francisco is in seventh place in the Western Conference with 14 points. They are two behind the Utah Grizzlies, and one up on the Las Vegas Wranglers. The Reign are in first place in the Western Conference with 32 points, five ahead of the Colorado Eagles.

Tomorrow the Bulls are back in action when they wrap up this two-games series with Ontario. The game starts at 6:00pm.
