The Oilers suffered a 7-4 loss to the Americans on Tuesday at the BOK Center and were soundly defeated 5-1 by the Americans on Wednesday night at the Allen Event Center. The Americans hold a 34-26 edge in goals scored in the season series and are led by Jack Combs who has posted 12 points (3 goals, 9 assists) in seven games against Tulsa. T.J. Caig is the top point producer for the Oilers with nine points (4 goals, 5 assists) against the Americans.

LONE STAR LOSS

Wednesday night in Allen, the Oilers were dealt their most lopsided loss of the season, a 5-1 setback at the hands of the Americans. Chad Costello notched a pair of goals and an assist to lead the Allen attack and rookie goaltender Raphael Girard made 28 saves for his first victory of the season. The game featured three fights and 80 combined penalty minutes (33 Tulsa, 47 Allen).
