Quad City Mallards News Release

RAPID CITY, SD - Dylan Clarke broke a 2-2 tie with 2:28 left in the third period and the host Rapid City Rush (6-11-1) held on to edge the Quad City Mallards (7-7-5) 3-2 Fri day night.

Clarke tipped in the game winner from the slot just under five minutes after Pearce Eviston had tied the game at two. Eviston charged down the slot to roof the Mallards' second power play goal of the night at 12:46 of the third.

Little did the Mallards know they would be met with late disappointment when Quad City's Benjamin Dieude-Fauvel scored the evening's first goal from the high slot just a minute and 51 seconds into the game. The Rush would rebound to grab the lead with a pair of first period goals of their own. Johan Ryd tied the score from point blank range at 10:53 of the first; at 15:10 with the Rush on the man advantage Robin Soudek 's blast from the top of the left wing circle put Rapid City on top 2-1 .
