The Solar Bears look for their their fourth straight win overall and third in a row on the road as they face the Gladiators for the second straight game tonight at the Arena at Gwinnett Center. Last night, Orlando jumped out to an early lead when F Andrew Johnston tallied a shorthanded goal and pushed it up to a 2-0 advantage when F Scott Tanski struck a few minutes later. After the Gladiators cut the lead to 2-1, F Kory Nagy found a loose puck in the slot and rifled it into the top right corner as the Solar Bears led 3-1 after the first. D Eric Baier increased the lead to 4-1 with a one-timer goal early in the second, and F Mike Ullrich capped off the scoring with a power play goal at the start of the final frame. With the win, Orlando has now won their last two games on the road and have earned at least one point in five straight contests. The Solar Bears are 4-0-0-1 against Gwinnett this season.

F Jacob Cepis has picked up seven points (2 goals, 5 assists) in his last three games... Orlando surrendered just 18 shots last night, their lowest total allowed since joining the ECHL... Severyn Returned to Orlando, Matson Recalled to Iowa:
The Orlando Solar Bears announced today that forward C.J. Severyn has been returned to the team from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the AHL and F Taylor Matson has been recalled to the Iowa Wild (AHL).
Severyn appeared in four games with Penguins, his second stint in the AHL, after playing six games with the Charlotte Checkers last year. He has appeared in 19 games with the Solar Bears this season, scoring six goals along with 11 assists for 17 points to rank fourth on Orlando in scoring. The Beaver, PA, native finished second on the Solar Bears in goals (22) and third in points (44) last season. He is expected to join the team following their trip in Gwinnett.
Matson has played six games with Orlando this season, registering two goals to go along with one assist. He tallied the game-winning goal for the Solar Bears on January 3 in Orlando's 6-5 win over the Utah Grizzlies. In 26 games with Iowa, Matson has tallied three goals.
Gladiators Notes:
F Kurtis Bartliff is tied for fourth among rookies with 11 goals. He is fifth among rookies with a 20.4 shooting percentage... F Marshall Everson is tied for third among rookies with a 21.4 shooting percentage... D Antoine Corbin is tied for fourth among defensemen with 78 shots. He is tied for third among blueliners with two game winning goals... The Gladiators are 10-0-0 when leading after two periods... Gwinnett is the only team in the ECHL that has not had a game decided in overtime... F Evan Bloodoff leads the Gladiators with 13 goals and 21 points... D Rob Kweit leads the Gladiators with 12 assists... Gwinnett is 11th on the power play at 15.1% (19-for-126) and 6th on the penalty kill at 87.1% (108-for-124).
