Game Preview: Solar Bears at Florida Everblades Tonight

The Solar Bears look to rebound with a victory over the Florida Everblades tonight. Orlando played their first two ECHL regular season games in Estero last weekend, coming back from a 4-0 deficit to force overtime on Friday and then falling 4-2 to Florida on Saturday. Saturday's game saw Florida jump out to a 2-0 lead early in the second period before LW Nick Petersen scored his second goal in as many nights with a tally late in the frame. The Everblades pushed the score to 3-1 at the beginning of the third, but C Ryan Cruthers kept Orlando's hope alive with a marker of his own. With the goalie pulled for an extra-attacker, Florida picked up an empty-netter to get the 4-2 win.

Solar Bears Notes:

Both C Ryan Cruthers and LW Nick Petersen have scored goals in each Solar Bears game... This contest marks the third straight regular season game between the two clubs... The Solar Bears will play their home opener tomorrow night at the Amway Center. Doors open at 6:00 p.m.
