Published on October 19, 2012 under ECHL (ECHL)
Kalamazoo Wings News Release
For the second-time in a span in eight days, the Kalamazoo Wings will lace up their skates against their long-time rivals, the Fort Wayne Komets. Kalamazoo won the inaugural meeting of the season 4-1 last Friday at the Allen County Memorial Coliseum.
This evening is the start of a new show for Kalamazoo. Besides being their home opener, the K-Wings will unveil the results of their two-million dollar renovations to Wings Stadium that began last month. Tonight is also the start of a two-game home stand for the K-Wings.
Concluding a brief two-game road swing the Komets head into Wings Stadium looking to ruin the K-Wings opening night festivities. Fort Wayne began the trip with a decisive 6-2 victory last Saturday against the Evansville Icemen.
