The Bakersfield Condors host the San Francisco Bulls for the first
of two games at Rabobank Arena on the weekend. The same two teams met in the Bay Area last weekend, splitting the series. This is game number four for the Condors and home game number two. The Bulls play their fourth game of the season and second road game.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT
Bakersfield, the only team to play a three-in-three on opening weekend, went 1-2-0, getting a split in San Francisco and falling 3-2 to the Las Vegas Wranglers on Sunday at home. C Parker Stanfield scored both goals for Bakersfield in Sunday's loss, including one on the power play.
San Francisco appeared to have their first-ever road victory locked up on Wednesday, leading the Ontario Reign 4-1 late, but surrendered three goals in the final 3:07 and fell in a shootout, 5-4. F Matt Carter and C Justin Bowers each scored their second goals of the season in the loss.
CONDORS NOTES
With his two-goal effort on Sunday, C Parker Stanfield now has 28 points (12g-16a) in his last 29 games for the Condors dating back to last season... F Alex Hudson had an assist in his first game back with Bakersfield on Sunday... D Olivier Dame-Malka is tied for the league lead in shots by a defenseman with 14... The Condors are the least penalized team in the ECHL averaging 11 PIMs a game through three games... F Brett Perlini is tied for fifth among rookies in the ECHL with three (1g-2a), one point back of the leaders in that category... The Condors are sixth in the league with a 26.7% PP conversion rate. Bakersfield was 3-for-9 (33.3%) against San Francisco with the man advantage last weekend... The Condors are tied for first in the ECHL with two shorthanded goals scored.
BULLS NOTES
F Dean Ouellet scored the first goal in Bulls history last Friday against the Condors... C Justin Bowers and D Sacha Guimond are tied for the ECHL lead in power-play points with three each...Bowers leads the ECHL in points with seven... F Kris Belan is fourth in the ECHL with 17 penalty minutes... F Jordan Clendenning is tied for the ECHL lead among rookies in points with four.
