Titans start 3-0 after 3-1 win over Reading
The Titans had to gut one out at home, but another outstanding effort in goal by Scott Wedgewood helped keep Trenton perfect to start the season Wednesday night.
Niko Hovinen (11 saves) got the start for Trenton but was hurt making a save early in the second, forcing him to leave. He is being evaluated by doctors in the Philadelphia area.
Wedgewood came off the bench to stop all 20Royals shots he saw, raising his record to 2-0, with a 1.21 GAA (3rd best in ECHL
Blake Kessel, Marcel Noebels and Ray DiLauro (EN) all got their first goal of the season. Andy Bohmbach stayed hot as his two helpers has him tied for the ECHL lead in assists (5) and tied for second in scoring (6). So far 14 different Titans have scored a point.
