TONIGHT'S MATCH-UP

Tonight's game is the seventh time the Ontario Reign and the Bakersfield Condors will face-off in the 2008-2009 season, as they face-off for "Affiliation Night." Both teams will don the jerseys of their respective NHL affiliates as the Reign will auction off the jerseys off their backs to benefit the San Antonio Community Hospital. The Reign hold a 4-2-0-0 record against Bakersfield, with Ontario picked up the win in the last match on January 24 in Bakersfield, with a final score of 3-2 in the shootout. Reign Captain Jon Francisco and defenseman David Walker lead the Reign against the Condors with five points each. Bakersfield right wing Chad Painchaud leads the club in points against the Reign with eight (1g, 7a). The teams are scheduled to meet for four more games this season, with three at Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield, and one at Citizens Business Bank Arena.

Ontario currently ranks first in the Pacific Division standings, posting an overall record of 22-14-2-1 (47 points), eight points ahead of the Stockton Thunder (39 points) for second. The Reign are 11-7-2-0 in home games and 11-7-0-1 on the road. Bakersfield ranks fourth place in the Pacific Division standings, with an overall record of 13-21-3-3 (32 points).

NEXT GAME

Wednesday, January 28 - The Reign travel to Alaska to take on the Aces in the first of a three-game road series. Puck drop is at 8:15 p.m. (PST)
