- Nailers' David Brown is 2-0-0 with a goals-against average of 1.50 against Elmira.
- Jackals' Benoit Doucet has eight points (3g-5a) in his last seven games including a four-game point streak (2g-3a).
- Wheeling rookie Bryan Ewing has 19 goals and 24 points in his last 15 games.

Victoria Salmon Kings (28-10-4) at Las Vegas Wranglers (16-17-4) 2:05 p.m. PT
- Wranglers' Tyler Mosienko has three assists and four points in his last five games.
- Salmon Kings' Sean D. O'Connor has three goals in his last two games.
- Las Vegas' Shawn Limpright has eight assists and 10 points in his last 11 games.
- Victoria's Wes Goldie leads the ECHL with 33 goals and is tied for second with five game-winning goals.

South Carolina Stingrays (21-14-4) at Mississippi Sea Wolves (15-20-4) 5 p.m. CT
- Sea Wolves' Ryan Menei has six points (3g-3a) in five games against South Carolina.
- South Carolina's Ian Vigier is 4-0-0 with a goals-against average of 2.00 against Mississippi.
- Mississippi's Ryan Cruthers is fifth among ECHL rookies with 38 points and is tied for fifth with 19 goals.
- Maxime Lacroix leads the Stingrays with eight goals and has 14 points against Mississippi.

Idaho Steelheads (23-14-3) at Utah Grizzlies (15-14-10) 5 p.m. MT
- Idaho has won two of the last four games in overtime and the other two in a shootout.
- Utah rookie Rob Hennigar has a five-game point streak (1g-9a) and 12 points (2g-10a) in his last seven games.
- Kris Sparre leads the Steelheads against Utah with eight goals and 13 points in eight games.
- Grizzlies' Tim Verbeek has six goals and eight points in his last seven games.

Phoenix RoadRunners (16-17-3) at Stockton Thunder (18-18-5) 4 p.m. PT
- Cory Urquhart leads the Thunder against Phoenix with six goals and seven points in three games.
- RoadRunners' Kimbi Daniels has a four-game point streak (3g-4a).
- Stockton's Mike Lalonde has seven assists and 10 points in his last six games.

Bakersfield Condors (13-22-6) at Ontario Reign (22-14-3) 5 p.m. PT
- Ontario rookie John Murray leads the league with four shootout wins including two in his last two starts.

* Former ECHL coaches working as head coaches in the NHL are Bruce Boudreau of the Washington Capitals and Scott Gordon of the New York Islanders. Boudreau, who coached Mississippi for three seasons winning the Kelly Cup championship in 1999, was named NHL Coach of the Year in 2007-08 becoming the first former ECHL coach to receive the award. Peter Laviolette, who began his coaching career with the Wheeling Nailers, led Carolina Hurricanes to the Stanley Cup in 2006.
* There are 18 assistant coaches in the NHL who were players or coaches in the ECHL.
* There are 18 former ECHL officials scheduled to work as part of the NHL officiating team in 2008-09 with referees David Banfield, Chris Ciamaga, Ghislain Hebert, Marc Joannette, Mike Leggo, Wes McCauley, Dean Morton, Dan O'Rourke, Brian Pochmara, Kevin Pollock, Kyle Rehman, Chris Rooney, Justin St. Pierre and Ian Walsh and linesmen Steve Barton, Brian Mach, Tim Nowak and Jay Sharrers. Barton, Joannette, Leggo, McCauley, Nowak, Pollock, Rooney and Sharrers all worked the 2008 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
* ECHL has affiliations with 23 of the 29 teams in the American Hockey League and for the past 19 years there has been an ECHL player on the Calder Cup Champion.
* In the last six seasons the ECHL has had more call-ups to the AHL than all other professional leagues combined with over 2,000 call-ups involving more than 1,000 players since 2002-03.
