Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers (16-17-4, 36 Points) were defeated by the Victoria Salmon Kings (28-10-4, 60 Points) 4-2 in front of 7,232 on Saturday night at the Orleans Arena. Former Wrangler Sean O'Connor scored twice, including the game-winning goal, to lead Victoria to victory. Las Vegas forward Chris Neiszner scored twice for Las Vegas as the Wranglers dropped the team's second straight decision. Las Vegas goalie Kevin Lalande stopped 17 of 20 shots faced in the loss. Victoria goalie Todd Ford picked up his second win in as many nights by stopping 38 shots. The Wranglers played in front of a season-high 7,232 fans. Las Vegas and Victoria will play again at the Orleans Arena on Sunday at 2:05 PM.

In the first period, Sean O'Connor gave the Salmon Kings a 1-0 lead at 6:52 with a power-play goal. Defensemen Matt Kelly and Gary Gladue set up O'Connor's 12th tally of the season. Las Vegas forward Chris Neiszner tied the game with his team-leading 13th goal of the season. Center Tyler Mosienko set up the goal from behind the net at 15:16 of the period.

In the second period, Shawn Landolt gave Victoria a 2-1 lead with his ninth goal of the season. Daryl Lloyd and Curtis Billsten set up the goal at 2:53. Sean O'Connor added his second goal of the game at 14:56, scoring off a wraparound from behind the Las Vegas net. With just 25-seconds left on the clock, Neiszner scored his second goal of the night, cutting the Victoria lead to 3-2. Forwards Shawn Limpright and Adam Miller found Nieszner alone in front of the Victoria net for the backhand goal.

In the third period, Chris St. Jacques added an empty-net goal at 18:49 to give Victoria the 4-2 win.

The Salmon Kings remain in town for one more game on Sunday, January 25th at 2:05 PM. Las Vegas will host Phoenix on Tuesday at 7:30 PM. The Wranglers host "Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich Prison Uniform Night" on Friday, January 30th against Bakersfield at 7:30 PM.
