RHP Trey Supak (1-1, 9.82) vs. RHP Justin De Fratus (2-4, 6.64)
K's Up: Since joining the Missions on July 27, tonight's starting pitcher, Trey Supak has seen his strikeout numbers increase. In five starts with San Antonio the right-hander is striking out opposing batters at a rate of 7.7 per nine innings, up from 6.7 per nine innings during his time with Double-A Biloxi.
Start Me Up I'll Never Stop: The Missions starting rotation has been outstanding in the last three games. Shelby Miller, Thomas Jankins, and Aaron Wilkerson have combined to allow just two runs, one earned, over 16.0 innings in those three games for an ERA of (0.56) and have walked seven batters while fanning 14. On the season San Antonio's starting rotation has a 4.67 ERA, which is second in the PCL behind only New Orleans' mark of 4.34.
A Long Time Coming: With a victory tonight the Missions would clinch their final home series of the regular season. It would be San Antonio's first series win in its final home series of the regular season since 2011 when the Missions swept Double-A Corpus Christi in a three-game set.
