Southern League Honors: Current Missions pitcher and former Biloxi pitcher Trey Supak has been named the Southern League's Most Outstanding Pitcher. Before joining the Missions, Supak was 11-4 with a 2.20 ERA in 20 starts with Double-A Biloxi. His 11 wins is tied for the most in the Southern League. He is also second in the league in ERA, and leads the league in opponent batting average (.192) and WHIP (0.87). Since joining the Missions, Supak is 1-1 with a 9.35 ERA in six starts.

Peralta's Dominance: Since being optioned to San Antonio, reliever Freddy Peralta has been a force to be reckoned with out of the Missions bullpen. In three appearances, Peralta has allowed one earned run on four hits in five innings of work. In the same time, he has just two walks and 12 strikeouts. After allowing his lone earned run in his first appearance on August 20, Peralta has pitched back-to-back two-inning scoreless outings with five strikeouts in each outing.
