For the IronBirds' offense, Sam Kimmel smashed his first home run of the season down the right field line and Jeff Kemp and George Barber hit RBI singles to account for the IronBirds' three runs.

...But the News Isn't All Bad

The Hudson Valley Renegades, lost to the Lowell Spinners by a score of 5-3. Staten Island lost to the Try-City ValleyCats, 6-3. Aberdeen will see Hudson Valley for four consecutive games this week. The first two are at Ripken Stadium, before the IronBirds make their final regular season visit to Dutchess Stadium Wednesday and Thursday.

Power Outage

After scoring ten runs in back-to-back games, the IronBirds managed just five hits last night. Besides the Kimmel round-tripper, Conor Bierfeldt, Jeff Kemp, and George Barber each registered singles, while Hector Veloz hit a one out double in the second inning. It was Veloz's fifth double of the season.
