LAST GAME: 4-3 W @ Brandon Wheat Kings: Despite trailing 3 times in each period of January 13th's game against the Brandon Wheat Kings, the Medicine Hat Tigers rallied and eventually would get their first and only lead with 3:01 left in regulation as Cayden Lindstrom with a Play of the Week work in the neutral zone turned out to be the game winner for the Tigers, with Dallon Melin's pair of tallies along with Hunter St. Martin's first goal since coming back from injury. Evan May made 20 saves for his second straight win.

VS WINNIPEG: This is the 2nd of 4 meetings between the Tigers and ICE, as the first time these two locked horns was back on October 1, where the ICE pieced a 5-2 win at Co-op Place. Connor Geekie lead the way for Winnipeg with a hat-trick while Ty Nash secured the other two goals in the win. Tyler MacKenzie and Oasiz Wiesblatt would counter for the Tigers in the loss.

Since the 1996-1997 WHL season, the Tigers hold a 73-75-5 record with 5 ties and a 30-42-4-1 record with one tie on the road.

Mr. 400: Tigers Head Coach & Willie Desjardins notched his 400th win as a Head Coach with the Medicine Hat Tigers December 10th in a 6-3 win at home against the Moose Jaw Warriors. Desjardins record in his 13 seasons coaching in the WHL. Desjardins first win as Tigers Head Coach was a 4-3 win on September 24, 2002 against the Saskatoon Blades.

Latvian Leap: Second year defenceman Bogdans Hodass represented Team Lativa at the upcoming World Junior Hockey Championships in Halifax, Nova Scotia for the second straight year. Hodass had 4 points (2 goals, 2 assists) in 6 games helping Lativa qualify for the 2024 World Juniors.

Defenders Attacking: The Tigers defence core of Rhett Parsons, Bogdans Hodass, Dru Krebs, Pasha Bocharov, Josh Van Mulligen, Kurtis Smythe & Reid Andresen have contributed to 95 points (21 goals, 74 assists)

Silver Lining: Tigers forward Tomas Mrsic returns to the Tigers after taking home a silver medal at the World U17s in Langley, BC. Mrsic had one goal and one assists for Team Canada Red. Cayden Lindstrom also participated in the U17s as a member of Team White scoring two goals and two assists in the tournament.

MacNeil's Navy: The Tigers announced their leadership group for the 2022-23 WHL Season, Owen MacNeil was named the 39th Captain in Tigers history, while Rhett Parsons, Dru Krebs, Tyler MacKenzie & Dallon Melin will all wear alternate captain's A's on their jerseys this season.
