March 29, 2004 - ECHL (ECHL)
Fresno Falcons News Release
LAST WEEK'S RECORD: 1-3-0 OVERALL RECORD: 21-41-6, 48 pts.
March 23 @ Idaho, 2-1 Win â The Falcons began their final road trip of the season with a victory in Idaho against the Steelheads. Mike Sandbeck and Kris Porter scored 2 ½ minutes apart in the second period to overcome an early 1-0 deficit, and Terry Denike made 33 saves, including 13 in the third, for his first win in a Fresno uniform.
March 24 @ Idaho, 6-4 Loss â After giving up an early goal in the game's first minute, the Falcons jumped all over the Steelheads with four straight tallies to take a 4-1 lead. Idaho would fight back, though, using three power play goals in the third as part of a run of five unanswered in a heart-breaking loss for the visitors.
March 26 @ Las Vegas, 3-1 Loss â The trip continued in Las Vegas where the Falcons and Wranglers played to a scoreless first before Las Vegas poured 21 shots on goal in the middle period to take a 3-0 lead into the third. Fresno cut the deficit to 3-1 following a goal by Blair Clarance but could forge no closer despite out-shooting the Wranglers, 15-4, over the final 20 minutes.
March 27 @ Long Beach, 5-1 Loss â The four-game swing ended on a down note in Long Beach where the Ice Dogs put the game out of reach by extending a one-goal margin after 20 minutes to a 4-1 lead just four minutes into the second. Daniel Bohac scored the only goal for the Falcons in the loss, giving them a final mark of 9-26-1 away from home this year.
