Round One Playoff Dates Set
March 29, 2004 - ECHL (ECHL)
San Diego Gulls News Release
SAN DIEGO â The San Diego Gulls have announced their schedule for the opening round of the 2004 playoffs, sponsored by Assil & Flowers Vision Institute and Medical Group, Inc. San Diego will be the No. 1 seed in the Pacific Division and will take on the No. 4 seed, which in all probability will be the Alaska Aces.
As of Monday, the Aces trail the third-place Idaho Steelheads by seven points with four games left in the regular season. The Steelheads, however, only need two more points in their final four games to clinch the third seed. Idaho would also clinch if Alaska loses one more game in regulation or suffers two overtime losses.
If the standings change, a new release will be issued, but here is the schedule for the Gulls-Aces first round match-up. This will be a best-of-five series format.
Game 1: Tuesday, April 6 @ San Diego 7:05 p.m.
Game 2: Wednesday, April 7 @ San Diego 7:05 p.m.
Game 3: Friday, April 9 @ Alaska 8 p.m. (PST)*
Game 4: Saturday, April 10 @ Alaska 8 p.m. (PST)*
Game 5: Tuesday, April 13 @ San Diego 7:05 p.m.*
