
Franck Signs Qualifying Offer

Wheeling Nailers News Release
Wheeling, WV- The Wheeling Nailers, the 'AA' affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins, announce today that all-star goaltender Andy Franck has signed a qualifying offer. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The 6'0, 175lb net minder set club records in 2005-2006 for games played in a season (55) and wins in a season (33). He also posted an impressive 2.28 goals-against average and .919 save percentage. It was the 25-year-old's first season with Wheeling after three years at Mercyhurst College.
By signing his qualifying offer, the Nailers will now retain Franck's rights at the ECHL level for the upcoming season.
The Wheeling Nailers will open their fifteenth season of hockey in the Ohio Valley on October 20th in Charlotte, before returning home on Friday, October 27th for their home opener against the Johnstown Chiefs.
