Dayton Bombers News Release

Dayton, OH- Dayton Bombers Head Coach and General Manager Don MacAdam announced today that Peter Bureaux will be leaving the team to pursue a job as the Equipment Manager of the Rochester Americans in the American Hockey League.

"Pete has done an outstanding job in his seven years with the Bombers," said MacAdam. "We thank him for his services and wish him the very best, as he takes the next step in pursuit of his NHL dream."

During his seven years with the Bombers, Bureaux was responsible for the day-to-day care of the player's equipment and uniforms.

"I enjoyed my time here in Dayton, seven years is a long time to spend in one league, but it was all time well spent," said Bureaux. "Coming here out of junior hockey I didn't know what to expect in professional hockey. I learned quickly that it's a business for everyone, staff and players included."

On April 8, 2006, Bureaux was honored before the Bombers game against the Wheeling Nailers for participating in 500 career games with the team.

"I will never forget the 2001-02 season, when we went to the finals of the Kelly Cup Playoffs," said Bureaux. "I would like to thank the Dayton Bombers organization as a whole, without them I would not be in the position I am of taking the job with Rochester. I wish the Bombers continued success and good luck in the many years to come. I am very excited about joining another great organization like the Americans in Rochester and taking that next step on professional hockey."

Season tickets and advertising opportunities are available! Individual game tickets go on sale September 1st. For more information contact the Bombers office at 775-4747 or log on to www.daytonbombers.com. The Dayton Bombers are the proud affiliate to the Syracuse Crunch of the AHL and the Columbus Blue Jackets of the NHL.
