Filion Ready To Pack It Up

PHOENIX, Ariz. - The Phoenix RoadRunners of the ECHL, a proud affiliate of the Phoenix Coyotes and the San Antonio Rampage, have announced that Head Coach Ron Filion will flex his supermarket skills Wednesday at the Bashas' 2006 Celebrity Pack Off at the Phoenix Marriott Mesa Hotel.
Filion will compete in a mock pack off competition against sports celebrities from across Arizona, including members of the Coyotes and the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League. The Bashas' Pack Off is a company-wide competition to determine which employee wins the title as the best grocery bagger in the state.
The Celebrity Pack Off round is scheduled to begin at 5PM inside the Mesa Conference Center Ballroom. The Phoenix Marriott Mesa Hotel is located at 200 N Centennial Way in Mesa.
The RoadRunners and Las Vegas Wranglers will tangle in a home-and-home pre-season series at 7:05PM on Thursday, October 12 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas and at 7:15PM on Friday, October 13 at the Alltel Ice Den in North Scottsdale.
Opening Night 2006 at US Airways Center will be on Friday, October 20 when the RoadRunners welcome the Utah Grizzlies at 7:11PM for the first game of an opening weekend three-game series. Information on season tickets, half-season packages, and flex plans are available by calling (602) 462-GOAL.
