Four Warriors Prospects Capture Medals at 2023 WHL Cup

Moose Jaw Warriors prospects are returning home with hardware from the 2023 WHL Cup in Red Deer, AB.

Warriors first round pick Aaron Sawatzky and Team Alberta took silver after falling 6-5 in a shootout to Team Manitoba in the final on Sunday at the Peavy Mart Centrium.

Alberta scored twice in the third period to force overtime, but couldn't finish off the win.

In the Bronze Medal Game, William Degagne, Carson Deichert, Davey Fisher and Team Saskatchewan came away with a 6-2 win over Micah Davidson and Team British Columbia.

Deichert, the Warriors' 2023 third round pick and a Moose Jaw product, scored twice in the win for Saskatchewan.

This was the 10th edition of the WHL Cup and the first title for Team Manitoba.
