
Kettles Named to Team Canada Red for World Under-17 Hockey Challenge

Swift Current, Sask. - Hockey Canada announced today that Broncos defenceman Peyton Kettles has been named to Team Canada Red for the upcoming World Under-17 Hockey Challenge on Prince Edward Island from Nov. 2 to 11.
"We are very happy for Peyton, he deserves this opportunity and has had an excellent start to his Western Hockey League career this season," said General Manager Chad Leslie. "With all of the injuries and players away at camps, Peyton has been asked to play some big minutes for our team which will benefit him heading to the U-17 Challenge."
Kettles, out of Winnipeg, Man., has played in all 12 games for the Broncos to this point in the season and has earned two assists on 18:10 per game on average. He leads defencemen on the team in blocked shots per 20 minutes with 1.9, and leads the team in blocked pass success at 97%.
Kettles, and Team Canada Red open the tournament on Nov. 2 when they take on Finland. You can see the full schedule here.
The 2007-born blue liner is a former sixth-overall pick of the Broncos, and is eligible for the 2025 NHL Draft.
