
Cougars Forward Parascak Named Kal Tire WHL Rookie of the Week

The Western Hockey League announced today Prince George Cougars forward Terik Parascak has been named Kal Tire WHL Rookie of the Week for the week ending October 22, 2023.
This represents the third time in 2023-24 that Parascak, 17, has been recognized as the Kal Tire WHL Rookie of the Week.
The product of Lethbridge, Alta., recorded six points (3G-3A) in two games this week as the Cougars went 2-0-0-0 on home ice.
Parascak logged three points (1G-2A) Saturday, October 21, including the game-winning goal in a 7-1 victory over the Kamloops Blazers.
The 5-foot-11, 179-pound right winger followed up Sunday, October 22 with three more points (2G-1A) in a 7-5 win over the Medicine Hat Tigers. Parascak was named Third Star of the game for his efforts.
With 15 goals through 12 games, Parascak sits first in the WHL in goal scoring. His 25 points are good for third in the WHL, trailing his Cougars teammates - Zac Funk and Ondrej Becher, who have collected 26 points each.
Parascak is currently riding a three-game point streak, having registered seven points (3G-4A) since Friday, October 13.
On five occasions this season, Parascak has produced three or more points in a game.
Originally selected by the Prince George Cougars in the fourth round (76th overall) of the 2021 WHL Prospects Draft, Parascak has 25 points (15G-10A) in 16 WHL Regular Season appearances. He made his WHL debut in 2022-23, skating in four contests with the Cougars.
Terik Parascak and the Prince George Cougars embark on a five-game East Division road trip beginning Saturday, October 28 (7 p.m. MT) when they visit the Moose Jaw Warriors.
