CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Today, the Cincinnati Reds announced a flurry of moves affecting the Chattanooga Lookouts.

LHP Mike Bumatay has been promoted from Chattanooga to Louisville (AAA).

The lefty-reliever made 19 appearances for the Lookouts this season, which currently puts him tied for first in that category in the Southern League. During his tenure with the Lookouts, he threw 18 innings, while striking out 21 with a 4.00 ERA.

The 27-year-old Frenso, California native put together a stellar performance during the month of April, only surrendering one run all month, resulting in a 0.90 ERA.

Replacing his spot on the roster is INF Jesse Gutierrez, who played 180 games in a Lookouts' uniform from 2003-2005.

In 2004, he was named MVP of the Southern League All-Star Game. In 2007, the 28-year-old has played in 18 games for Louisville, batting .184 with one homer in 49 at-bats.

In another move, OF Cody Strait has been placed on the Lookouts Disabled List with an orbital fracture.

Strait has played in 42 games for the Lookouts this season. He currently leads the team in homeruns (6), RBI (22), and stolen bases (9). He is batting .233 on the year.

The Lookouts will embark upon a five-game away series against West Tennessee on Wednesday. They will return to AT&T Field on Monday, May 28th to play consecutive home stands against Mississippi and Huntsville.
