Florida Panthers Reassign Michal Repik To Amerks

(Rochester, NY)... Florida Panthers General Manager Jacques Martin announced today that forward Michael Repik has been reassigned to the Rochester Americans (AHL).

Repik, 20, appeared in Florida's 3-1 loss to the Buffalo Sabres last night, scoring the game's lone goal. The Vlasim, Czech Republic native made his NHL debut with Florida earlier this season at Ottawa on December 8th. Repik has played five games with Florida this season scoring two goals with a +1 rating.

Repik has played in 60 games with Rochester this year, registering 41 points (18+23) and 50 PIM.

Repik was drafted by Florida with their second choice (40th overall) in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.

Tonight, the Rochester Americans remain home at The Blue Cross Arena as they play host to the Toronto Marlies in their first of three North Division matchups this weekend. The 7:35 p.m. contest will be the seventh of eight scheduled meetings between the two teams this season and will be broadcast live on SportsRadio 1280 WHTK, whtk.com and AHL Live. The game will also be broadcast live over the NHL network.
