Bears Sign Defenseman Greg Amadio For 2009-2010 Season

HERSHEY - The HERSHEY BEARS announced today the club has signed defenseman Greg Amadio to a contract for the 2009-10 season. The announcement was made today by BEARS President/GM Doug Yingst.

Amadio, 27, is in his first year with the BEARS, accumulating a team high 161 penalty minutes in addition to two goals and six assists. The four-year letterman at Michigan Tech University played in the AHL previously with Manitoba, Grand Rapids, Iowa, Portland and Binghamton prior to signing with HERSHEY last summer.

The BEARS are home this weekend, facing the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and Bridgeport Sound Tigers. Face-off with the Penguins is at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, with the Sound Tigers visiting Sunday at 5:00 p.m. For ticket information, call (717) 534-3911.
