Florida Panthers Reassign Forward Zach Hamill to Milwaukee

SAN ANTONIO (April 11, 2013) - Florida Panthers Executive VP/General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the club has reassigned forward Zach Hamill from the San Antonio Rampage (AHL) to the Milwaukee Admirals.

Hamill, 24, leads the Rampage with 24 assists this season and is tied for second on the team with 40 points on the year. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound forward was acquired via trade from the Hersey Bears on Jan. 31 and has posted five goals and 13 assists in 26 games for the Silver and Black. In addition, Hamill recorded a team high six game point scoring streak for the Rampage from March 2-17 in which he tallied one goal and five assists.

Hamill tallied 11 goals and 11 assists in 40 games for Hersey before being acquired by the Rampage. The Vancouver, British Columbia native was drafted eighth overall in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft by the Boston Bruins. Hamill has suited up for the Bruins in 20 NHL games since the 2007-08 campaign, tallying four assists.

The Rampage travel to Houston for a two-game series tonight (Thursday) and Saturday in the team's final two road games of the year. Puck drop for both contests against the Aeros is 7:05 p.m. The Silver and Black will return home on Sunday for a 3:30 p.m. tilt against the Texas Stars in the final Express-News Sunday Funday of the year.
