
Worcester Sharks Host Online Jersey Auction to Benefit March of Dimes of Massachusetts

WORCESTER - Worcester Sharks President Michael A. Mudd announced that the Worcester Sharks will auction off the remaining March of Dimes jerseys during an online auction to benefit the March of Dimes of Massachusetts on www.SharksAHL.com beginning on Thursday, April 11 at 8p.m. (EST).
The Sharks sported the March of Dimes jerseys during the Sharks game vs. the Springfield Falcons on April 6.
The online jersey auction to benefit the March of Dimes of Massachusetts begins on Thursday, April 11 at 8p.m. (EST) and concludes on Thursday, April 18 at 8p.m. (EST) and will consist of the following jerseys;
Portion of the jersey auction will aid the March of Dimes mission to improve the health of babies.
#35 Harri Sateri
Game worn March of Dimes jersey from Worcester Sharks 2nd year goaltender Harri Sateri. Harri was the backup goaltender for the March of Dimes game. Native of Toijala, Finland, Sateri was drafted by the San Jose Sharks in the 4th round in 2008 (106th overall). Spent three seasons in Tappara in the Finnish League. As of April 9, Harri has a 14-19-3 record with a 2.83 gaa and a .904 save %
#20 Matt Irwin
Game issued worn March of Dimes jersey from San Jose Sharks defenseman Matt Irwin. Currently on recall with the San Jose Sharks where he has played 29 games and scored five goals along with four assists. A product of UMass-Amherst, Matt has 15 points in 35 games this season for Worcester.
#5 Matt Tennyson
Game issued March of Dimes jersey of Sharks rookie defenseman Matt Tennyson. Matt is currently on his first NHL recall with the San Jose Sharks where he has two assists in three games. Tennyson is the first San Jose Jr. Sharks player ever to suit up for the San Jose Sharks. Matt leads all Worcester d-men with 27 points (5-22-27) in 60 games.
#19 Daniil Tarasov
Game worn March of Dimes jersey of rookie forward Daniil Tarasov. Daniil leads Worcester rookies with 12 goals through just 36 games. A native of Moscow, Russia, Tarasov just signed his first NHL contract with the San Jose Sharks. Scored 47 goals last year with the Indiana Ice (USHL).
#22 Tim Kennedy
Game issued March of Dimes jersey from Sharks forward Tim Kennedy. Currently on recall with the San Jose Sharks where he has two goals in 12 games. Is currently 2nd on the Worcester Sharks with 37 points (13-24-37) in just 37 games. A Buffalo, NY native has also played with the Buffalo Sabres and the Florida Panthers. Won a national championship with Michigan State University in 2007.
#23 Matt Pelech
Game worn March of Dimes jersey from Sharks forward Matt Pelech. Recorded a boarding penalty in the jersey. Leads Worcester with 17 fighting majors with a franchise record 236 penalty minutes and was a first round draft pick of the Calgary Flames. Has played two games with the San Jose Sharks this season and recorded a fighting major.
#17 Peter Sivak
Game worn March of Dimes jersey from Sharks forward Peter Sivak. Peter scored the only Worcester goal on the March of Dimes game vs. Springfield on April 6. Sivak is currently with the San Francisco Bulls where he led the team with 33 goals in just 64 games. Peter scored four goals with Worcester in nine games and spent several season playing in Slovakia and the Czech League.
The Sharks March of Dimes game officially kicked-off the March for Babies walks which are held in five locations throughout Massachusetts in April, May and June. The Worcester March for Babies event will be held on April 28 at City Hall Plaza.
