Florida Panthers Reassign Defenseman Brendon Nash to Charlotte

SAN ANTONIO (April 11, 2013) - Florida Panthers Executive VP/General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the club has reassigned defenseman Brendon Nash from the San Antonio Rampage (AHL) to the Charlotte Checkers.

Nash, 26, has recorded six goals and 13 assists in 53 games this season split between the Rampage and Hamilton Bulldogs. The 6-foot-3, 206-pound defenseman is also tied for the team lead with a plus-10 rating. San Antonio acquired Nash via trade on Jan. 3 and the defenseman has tallied five goals and six assists in 27 games for the Silver and Black. Of Nash's 11 points with the Rampage, five have come on the power play (three goals, two assists).

The Rampage travel to Houston for a two-game series tonight (Thursday) and Saturday in the team's final two road games of the year. Puck drop for both contests against the Aeros is 7:05 p.m. The Silver and Black will return home on Sunday for a 3:30 p.m. tilt against the Texas Stars in the final Express-News Sunday Funday of the year.
