
Flames send three to Las Vegas

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today that the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League have assigned forwards Chris Neiszner, Adam Cracknell and Aki Seitsonen.
Neiszner returns to Las Vegas after spending his rookie campaign with the club in 2005-06. The second-year pro blossomed in the 2006 Kelly Cup Playoffs with five goals and six assists for 11 points in 12 games. During the regular season, Neiszner scored 11 times and added 20 assists for 31 points in 58 games played. The Craik, SK native finished second on the team among rookies with a +19 rating in 2005-06. Neiszner was recalled to the American Hockey League's Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights in mid-January for a seven game stint. The 22-year old netted his first AHL goal and added an assist with Omaha. Prior to turning pro, Neiszner played four seasons with the Western Hockey League's Red Deer Rebels, scoring 49 goals and adding 52 assists for 101 points in 286 games played. Neiszner attended training camp for the second straight year in Calgary and Omaha.
Adam Cracknell was Calgary's ninth round pick (#279 overall) in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. Cracknell played his last four seasons with the Kootenay Ice of the WHL, piling up 94 goals and 119 assists for 213 points in 283 games. Last season, Cracknell finished second in the league in scoring with 93 points (42G-51A) in 72 games played. The Victoria, BC native finished last season with the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights of the AHL, scoring one goal and adding three assists in six games. Cracknell attended Calgary's Training Camp and Omaha's Training Camp in 2006.
Aki Seitsonen (pronounced - Ah-key, Site-so-nen) was Calgary's fourth round pick (#118 overall) in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. Seitsonen spent his last three seasons with the Prince Albert Raiders of the WHL. During his three seasons with the Raiders, Seitsonen tallied 60 goals and 67 assists for 127 points in 204 games played. The Riihimski, Finland native was held scoreless in the final seven games of the 2005-06 season with Omaha. Seitsonen attended training camp in Calgary and Omaha in 2006.
Training camp opens on Thursday, October 5th when players report to Las Vegas for the beginning of camp. The team will hit the ice for the first time this Friday at 9:00 am at the Las Vegas Ice Center. Training camp includes two preseason games against the Phoenix Roadrunners. Las Vegas hosts Phoenix on Thursday, October 12th at the Orleans Arena at 7:05 pm. The Wranglers will play in Phoenix on Friday, October 13th at 7:15 pm. All practices at the Las Vegas Ice Center are open to the public. The Las Vegas Ice Center is located at 9295 West Flamingo Rd.
The Wranglers play all 36 home games at the Orleans Arena, located at the Orleans Hotel and Casino at 4500 W. Tropicana Avenue. The Wranglers host the Victoria Salmon Kings for the home opener on Friday, November 3rd at 7:05 pm.
