
Fisher Cats Awarded 2011 Northeast Delta Dental EL All-Star Game

Manchester, NH- The New Hampshire Fisher Cats, Double-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, are proud to announce that the team and the city of Manchester, NH, will host the 2011 Northeast Delta Dental Eastern League All-Star Game on July 12-13, 2011. Team owner Art Solomonand Northeast Delta Dental President/CEO Tom Raffiomade the announcement on the field during tonight's Fisher Cats/Akron Aeros game at Merchantsauto.com Stadium, marking the second time in four years that the EL's mid-summer classic comes to the Queen City. The Fisher Cats also hosted the 2008Northeast Delta Dental Eastern League All-Star Game.
"It is an honor to be the destination for this prestigious event featuring the very best prospects in the Eastern League," said Solomon. "It is a testament to the fine performance put on by the city, the front office and the fans in 2008 that the league has bestowed this honor upon us once again, and we look forward to creating more memories for everyone involved next July."
Festivities for the 2011 Northeast Delta Dental Eastern League All-Star Game begin with the HR ConceptsTotal Access Block Party atVeterans Park in downtown Manchester, NH, on Tuesday, July 12. The event, which runs from 6:00pm-10:00pm, includes live entertainment and interactive games for fans, and admission is free to the general public.

The 2011 Northeast Delta Dental Eastern League All-Star Game will feature the stars of the Eastern Division (Binghamton, New Britain, New Hampshire, Portland, Reading and Trenton) against the stars of the Western Division (Akron, Altoona, Bowie, Erie, Harrisburg and Richmond).
Each team is comprised of 24 players, with every Eastern League team being represented by at least one pitcher and one position player. The teams will be selected through a combination of fan balloting and selections from managers, media and team personnel.

Tickets for the 2011 Northeast Delta Dental Eastern League All-Star Game will be going on sale on an August date to be determined in conjunction with the on-sale date for 2011 Fisher Cats Season Tickets. Fisher Cats 2011 Full-Season Ticket Holders will be given the first opportunity to purchase All-Star Game tickets.
